A fourth-generation Corvallis resident, Tom's knowledge of the local area and real estate market are a hard-to-find combination. He understands that a client's trust must be earned through hard work, consistent follow-through, attention to detail, and integrity in every aspect of the real estate transaction.
Background
Raised in Corvallis, Tom attended Washington Elementary, Harding Elementary, Western View Junior High, Corvallis High School, and Oregon State University. While at OSU, Tom earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in marketing.
An interest in flying challenged Tom to get a Commercial Pilot's license, instrument rating, and Flight Instructor certificate. Over the years, he has logged over 1,400 hours of flight time in a variety of aircraft.
A lifelong fisherman, Tom has been a licensed fishing guide, certified by the State of Oregon and the U.S. Coast guard. He has also captained a 40-foot commercial salmon troller/longliner during the summers off the coast of Oregon.
Community Involvement
Tom has supported the Boys and Girls Club and the Corvallis Parks and Recreation department as a coach for many years. He also coached freshman basketball at Crescent Valley High School, (He played basketball in college on a full scholarship) and baseball with the Corvallis Little League. In addition, Tom taught Economics classes for Junior Achievement.
Family and Fun
Tom, his wife Julie, and their two children enjoy spending time at the Oregon coast. While there, fishing, crabbing, and beach combing are favorite activities. In the late summer and fall, you will often find Tom on the Alsea, Yaquina, or Umpqua rivers trolling for chinook salmon.
Daughter Claire attends Linus Pauling Middle School and son Brad is a student at OSU.
